When Izzy Grant’s newborn daughter Alys disappears, her world shatters around her. Despite an extensive search the police find no trace of the missing girl, but Izzy refuses to give up hope that her daughter will be found.

Then a note is pushed through her letterbox, warning her off.

For Izzy it’s a ray of hope, another lead for the police to follow. For DC Gaby Darin it’s another piece of the puzzle that just won’t fit.

But as a long-lost friend returns to Izzy’s life with a shocking secret, Gaby realises the truth of who took Izzy’s daughter from her might lie in the past – and far closer to home than anyone could have imagined…

Gripping and unputdownable, this emotional thriller will have you racing through until the very last page. Perfect for fans of Cara Hunter, LJ Ross and Erin Kinsley.

Exciting, Thrilling & An Awesome Read!      stars 5

Hands up, I don’t normally read books about missing children but when I saw who the author was I had no hesitation in snapping this up!

Izzy Grant faced a terrible tragedy in her life when her partner took their baby out in her car and just disappeared. Some years later something occurs which, when brought to the attention of the police allows the force to re-open the case, and finally gives Izzy reason to raise the hope she has never lost that her daughter will be safely returned to her.

I’ve been a fan of Jenny O’Brien’s since she first approached me in 2017 with a request to review one of her novels, so when I spotted her latest was due for release, I quickly pre-ordered it. This is the first chance I’ve had to fit Silent Cry into my list and what a tremendously gripping read it is! From the first page, this novel grabbed my attention and didn’t let go until I got to the very end. Absolutely awesome! With a strong story line and crisp writing which flows seamlessly all the way through, I’m not surprised that this novel was snapped up by a publisher – and, best of all, it’s the first in what promises to be a must-not-miss series! Exciting, thrilling, gripping and with an ending which I could not – even in my wildest dreams – have predicted, this is definitely worthy all five sparkling, glowing stars and the highest recommendation I can give!

I purchased the ebook version of Silent Cry; this is – as always – my honest, original and unbiased review.
