The Christmas Surprise by Rosie Green #BookReview #LittleDuckPondCafe19 #5*

After the worst year of her life, Valentina is facing a bleak festive season. But things might be about to change. Could a sprinkling of Christmas magic help her turn a corner, and bring her the hope and happiness she’s yearning for?

A Bright, Uplifting Little Gem!

Another little gem from the pen of Rosie Green!

Tina’s friend Meg wants her to go and spend Christmas with Meg, her husband and their son. Tina just want to get the day over with. Christmas is never going to be the same again and she just wants to see it in her rear view mirror. Why can’t she spend the day alone ignoring the usual festivities?

It takes a brave author to tackle a subject like this; Christmas isn’t always a happy time – tragedies don’t have a lot of respect for annual holidays and there are always going to be some people out there who just wish the holiday would go away. The author has done a remarkable job of showing sympathy and yet turning this into a very readable and enjoyable tale of a young woman who has a wonderful friend. A short, but worthy addition to the Little Duck Pond Cafe series, and an uplifting story which will leave you feeling much brighter than before. 5*.

My thanks to the author for my copy of her novel; this is – as always – my honest, original and unbiased review.

Look out for ‘Snow Falls over Sunnybrook’, a heart-warming Christmas delight, out in November 2021. As snow drifts down over the village, will romance finally blossom for one very special pair?
