Ronaldo rocks, yet again
It is summertime in Beresford. Ronaldo and Rudi are beside themselves with excitement: Monty the Moose, the most incredible Magician in the whole world is performing at Rudi’s birthday party!
But before the festivities begin, there’s the important matter of The Reindeer Flyover, an ancient tradition of The Reindeer Flying Academy that marks the end of school term. But Rudi might not be able to fly. He has injured his hoof and refuses to see Doctor Kloppen. Rudi is terrified of needles and, rumour has it, the Doctor’s needle is the size of a rocket!
Meanwhile, Ronaldo meets celebrity baker Mrs Sorensson and offers to deliver her cakes to ‘Carrot’s ‘N’ Cakes’ bakery before flying school. The weather is hot so Ronaldo rushes through the forest so he can deliver the cakes before the icing melts.
But trouble is lurking in the woods. Dasher and his menacing brothers, Comet and Prancer, are hiding in the bushes. Waiting for Ronaldo!

Amazing, most Magical of Reads!
How wonderful it is to be back in the world of Ronaldo, the flying reindeer!
This time round, in the third book in this most magical of series, the setting is summertime in Beresford and Ronaldo’s best friend, Rudi, has a birthday fast approaching! With the excitement of the annual Reindeer Flyover happening soon, his part time job, and the prospect of Monty the Moose at Rudi’s party doing all his magic tricks, Ronaldo has plenty to think about.
I love these books. The stories are so perfect for our times – moral, fun and jam packed with fabulous characters and amazing events to entertain ALL ages. The icing on the cake is the amazingly true-to-life illustrations which blow me away every time; these are beyond your average drawings, add so much to these tales and are all the author’s own work. Such talent! As well as all the good things in life, these books also contain examples of things all kids face at some time or other: dealing with bullies and the issue of telling lies. Truly educational as well as delightfully spun stories which everyone in the family will love – as I do (in case you haven’t guessed already). I have no hesitation in giving this one 5 sparkly flying stars, and the strongest recommendation to share with children from 3 to 103!
My grateful thanks to the author for my copy of this novel; all opinions are both honest and entirely my own.

Maxine Sylvester was born in London, England. She grew up with a passion for Winnie the Pooh and Paddington Bear. She also loved anything Disney and enjoyed drawing the characters.
Maxine’s love of ‘fun’ art grew and she had the privilege of being mentored by cartoonist and caricaturist, Steve Chadburn. She completed further studies in children’s book illustration with talented artist and illustrator, Jan Nesbitt.
She has just updated all the illustrations for The Reindeer Flying Academy – they are now all in glorious colour, just in time for Christmas.
