It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Penmenna…

Teaching assistant Alice has sworn off men, which is fine because with Christmas coming she’s super busy organising the school Nativity. This should be a blast with the help of close friend and village vicar, Dan – if she can ignore those more-than-just-a-friend feelings she’s developed for him…

Dan is happy to help Alice – his secret crush – but not only is his beloved Granny Annie about to be made homeless, the church choir has disintegrated and he’s battling some dark demons from his past.

With meddling grannies and PTA wars thrown in the mix, can Alice and Dan overcome their past hurts to move forward?

Will they be spending Christmas together as friends… or something more?

A festive feel-good romance perfect for fans of Tilly Tennant and Holly Martin.

A Magical Festive Read!    Stars 5

A wonderful fourth addition to this fabulous series! A brand new story encompassing all the original characters too . . .

Teaching assistant Alice is very much a main player in Penmenna village school; so much so that this year she finds herself in charge of the nativity, and she is determined to make it the best one ever. Alice has a close friend in Dan, the new vicar and, much as she would like to be more than friends, she has sworn off the opposite sex and is so conscious of not being sylph-like that she cannot see why any male would look at her twice. Little does she know that Dan is quashing his own reciprocal feelings!

From the very beginning, this series has had winner stamped all over it; a gorgeous setting with a fantastic cast, each with their own idiosyncracies. There is a perfect balance of characters, stretching right across the human race and – as is the case for all of us – finding themselves in the position of having to get on with things – and each other. I love the new fun characters which have been introduced in this one and, as always, there is so much going on throughout the book that I just seemed to fly through it! The magic of Christmas shines through the pages, and I loved everything about this one – it’s an amazing addition to a superb series and Kitty Wilson has done a first-class job. A joy to read and fully deserving of every one of the five shiny stars I’m more than happy to give it. Highly recommended!

My thanks to publisher Canelo for my copy via NetGalley. Naturally, all opinions are honest, original and unbiased.

Author Bio

81DJYF8+YfL._US230_Kitty Wilson lived in Cornwall for twenty-five years having been dragged there, against her will, as a stroppy teen. She is now remarkably grateful to her parents for their foresight and wisdom – and that her own children aren’t as hideous. Recently she has moved to Bristol, but only for love and on the understanding that she and her partner will be returning to Cornwall to live very soon. She spends most of her time welded to the keyboard, dreaming of the beach or bombing back down the motorway for a quick visit! She has a penchant for very loud music, equally loud dresses and romantic heroines who speak their mind.
