Life couldn’t be better for Mia and her friends in Little Pondale – until tragedy strikes…
Mia Ward is on cloud nine after a magical Christmas and New Year and she isn’t the only one. Everyone on Lily Pond Lane seems to be living in blissful harmony. Until tragedy strikes… not once, but twice. And as Hettie Turner points out: ‘Bad things always come in threes.’
Whilst the other residents of Little Pondale are wondering what might happen next, Mia is busy worrying about her friends, and trying to help them with their grief. But she needs to be careful.
Just when she thought she had everything, there’s a very real chance she might lose the only thing she truly wants.
Very Appealing, Feel-Good Read!
Another appealing read in this wonderful series. Having a Lily Pond Lane book in my tbr is like having a new episode of Cold Feet recorded to watch .. I can feel the throb of anticipation!
Now that the Christmas celebrations are over and life is settling down again in Little Pondale, Mia finds her sleep disturbed several times a night by bad dreams which leave her with an awful sense of foreboding. It doesn’t take long for the bad news to come to the fore – and it’s a double whammy. Rocked by events which always have the ripple effect in this tight-knit community, it leads to repercussions too . . .
It’s fabulous to return to Little Pondale and catch up with all the residents; they are such a wide array of characters all with their own little foibles and Emily Harvale has come up trumps with another fresh and tempting story. I love the little traditions in this place; and the people, old and new, all find their own place in the village. Love is always on the menu, alongside sadness and heartbreak. It’s this marvellous mix, beautifully written, which is crafted into such great reads! And I have the next book waiting on my kindle, a few books ahead – aren’t I lucky? Would I recommend this? Absolutely. Go one better and treat yourself to the whole series and wallow in these feel good reads – you won’t regret it! Five sparkly stars, most definitely.
