Welcome to 2019!
After an abrupt end to last year, I’m back to my normal reading routine and I’m pleased to have read and reviewed a total of 20 books this month, scattered among a variety of genres.
I would recommend all of these, from the indie author to the experienced writer with several books to their name – it’s been a good start to the year. As always, it not easy to pick one outstanding read, but there was one novel which really brightened this dull and chilly month.
Dennis Bisskit and the Man from Paris with the Very Large Head is so very funny, and I actually had to lay it aside one night when I was reading in bed; I couldn’t stop laughing and was keeping my husband awake as the bed was shaking so much! You can read my review HERE. This is the second in series from author Stephen Ainley, and I really hope that there is more to come – Stephen has a fabulous way of writing light-hearted and massively entertaining stories. It’s years since I’ve laughed this hard, and it definitely left me with a happy soul. A great start to the year!
My thanks to Stephen and all the other authors who have filled my head in recent weeks; I never fail to be amazed at the skill and creativity they put into their books, and I’m so glad I’m a reader.
Here’s to February .. happy reading!!
