Monthly Round-Up

I’m happy to report that we’re beginning to see a bit of blue sky and sunshine here – all we need is a bit of heat to go with it! Still, chilly days are perfect for reading and it’s been another busy month with a total of 21 books under my belt, and a running total of 80 for the year so far.

Picking one does not get any easier, so today I read through the month’s reviews again, bringing back wonderful memories. I’m very lucky to have the chance to read so many wonderful novels. Although many of my reads come via NetGalley, I really would like to thank the many authors who contact me directly, especially the debut and indie authors. There’s a huge amount of talent out there, patiently (or perhaps not so patiently) waiting for their work to get the attention it deserves. By no means do I accept all the request which come my way, but I have thoroughly enjoyed those I have managed to add to my tbr list.

So, onto this month. The novel I have chosen is one which is completely different to anything else I have read before. Unique and unforgettable, The Curious Heart of Ailsa Rae really got under my skin. Stephanie Butland has created a masterpiece with this one and I am so happy to have read it. Definitely a must-have for all the wish lists!

Thank you for joining me for this monthly round-up. Here’s looking forward to May – my list is packed already!

Happy Reading!
